HEXTLEARN

What is HEXTLEARN?

HEXTLEARN is a network project co-funded by the Lifelong learning programme EACEA, Key Activity 3- ICT. The project started in October 2007 and closes in October 2010. HEXTLEARN is aimed at contributing to the deployment of Lifelong Learning strategies through ICT within the Higher Education Institutions, by means of peer reviews methodologies, by offering a database of good practices and other useful materials, by organising seminars and devoted events, by promoting sharing and common understanding amongst the members. HEXTLEARN focuses on the quality assurance aspects and on the integration of ICT as innovation key for the Higher Education Institutions.

Why HEXTLEARN?

HEXTLEARN network addresses transversally the lack of a synergies within most of the European Universities among the groups working in , by most European universities, to the different roles in Lifelong learning and to the use of ICT as a strategic tool to face increasing diversity of roles and target groups of Higher Education Institutions, through a networking action aimed at contributing to the enhancement of the quality assurance aspects and to the strategic integration of ICT in teaching, learning and innovation, across the Lifelong learning subsystems.

Who can participate?

Everybody working in Higher Education Institutions in every field and discipline could contribute to the aims of the project, as i.e. providers of campus education, partners in the provision of corporate training or continuing professional development, actors of adult education, particularly for elderly and disadvantaged target groups, actors in local and regional development processes, providers of school teachers' training, providers of distance education, organisers of international (virtual) mobility of students and researchers, etc.
