Media & Learning: towards the era of digital fluency Conference on 25-26 November 2010 in Brussels being organised in collaboration with the Flemish Ministry of Education and the European Commission Directorate-General for Education and Culture.
This event will take place in the Flemish Ministry of Education Headquarters in Brussels to co-incide with the Belgian Presidency of the European Union.
The conference agenda will focus on three key themes:

<!--[if !supportLists]-->• <!--[endif]-->Fostering the creation of media-based resources at all levels of education and training
<!--[if !supportLists]-->• <!--[endif]-->Use and re-use of existing media resources in education and training
It will include presentations highlighting leading European initiatives in this field, discussions and debates about how best to promote digital and media skills and competences and demonstrations of inspiring examples of how animation, video, games, podcasts and audio are being used to enhance learning at all levels of society. The agenda will also include several workshops aimed at explaining just how you can go about using some of the many media-based tools and services currently available to enhance learning.
The Media & Learning Brussels 2010 Conference will include the prize-giving ceremony of the annual MEDEA Awards, a highly successful scheme which recognises and rewards excellence in the use of media in education and training and many of the MEDEA finalists will feature on the agenda of the Media & Learning Conference.
